Elastic strips can be used in party decoration, streamers and party favors

The decoration for a party or celebration to mark a special day or event is done in every household in the country several times a year. For your next celebratory event try a new material in the decorating supplies that can add a special little flare to it. This is the introduction of fold over, printed and skinny elastic strips as part of the decorations.

Construction of streamers

Streamers are generally part of the decorations for a celebration. A material most do not think about using is a form of elastic strip. As the breeze moves through the area where this type of party decoration is placed, the balloon will not only bounce more but the elastic strips will stretch out somewhat giving it more freedom to change directions and placement in the room. It might be just a small feature added to the decorations, but it will be noticed, especially by the children that are generally fascinated with balloons.

There are many choices when using elastic strips as party decoration material. The width of the elastic strips varies in type of strips you decides to use. There are also many different colors and for the parties that have a theme to them, patterns of elastic strips can be used to help highlight the special event. There are seasonal patterns along with holiday prints to help accent the special occasion. To add a little flare to the streamers, a zigzag chevron pattern in the color preference of the party holder is a nice touch. A multi color houndstooth is another unique pattern that is generally not available in other material that streamers are made from.

Advantages of using printed elastic strips as a party decoration

Unlike other streamers that are being created out of paper material, the ones created with elastic strips can be reused. This makes them the preferred choice for annual and seasonal gatherings that will be repeated over and over again. The elastic strips are made of a sturdy material and will not simply tear when touched or taken down. This way they can be reused many times and still look wonderful. They are also washable, unlike paper decorations. This way the vibrant colors they are designed with can shine through no matter how messy the celebration becomes.
